E’ tutto pronto per l’uscita nelle sale cinematografiche del film che racconta la nascita e la fine dello storico CBGB, locale di Manhattam che ha visto passare sul suo palco la storia del punk e della new wave di metà anni ’70 e anni ’80. Il regista, Randall Miller, ha voluto raccontare la vita del locale attraverso gli occhi e, soprattutto, le orecchie del suo fondatore, Hilly Kristal, interpretato da Alan Rickman. Sul palco dello storico locale sono passati praticamente tutti, dai primi Stooges, ai Television, dai Talking Heads ai Ramones e, piccola curiosità, anche gli italiani Elio e le storie tese, nel loro tour americano del 1998. L’uscita del film è prevista per l’11 Ottobre e sarà anticipata di un paio di giorni dalla colonna sonora ufficiale, della quale si conosce già l’intera scaletta:
