London Sessions #3: CASSELS

Alla scoperta di nuove realtà musicali inglesi e internazionali da Londra attraverso le foto e le bio di Luca Giorietto.

I Cassels sono un potente giovane duo di Londra, è fornato da due fratelli: Jim e Loz Beck. Li ho scoperti tramite il sito del Birthdays, è un locale che si trova a Dalston (Londra).
Rappresenta un posto speciale per me perchè tramite questo luogo ho scoperto diverse nuove band, il Birthdays è sempre un marchio di qualità.
Ero incuriosito dai Cassels e trovai una manciata di loro brani su Soundcloud. Da allora mi sono innamorato della loro musica: un’esplosione di suono davvero grezzo! Dai testi alla musica, c’è qualcosa in loro che non si trova in molte band. Il giorno del loro live stava piovendo, come sempre in Inghilterra, Dopo una breve attesa siamo stati fortunati poichè il tempo è cambiato per un po per scattare le foto che volevo fare loro. Hanno poi suonato un live set davvero intenso e mi sono sentito davvero privilegiato per averne potuto godere, è stato assolutamente fantastico.
Ho scattato poi altre foto una seconda volta al The Garage prima della presentazione live del nuovo doppio singolo. Sono molto orgoglioso di aver conosciuto una band così interessante. Diverse persone nuove si sono interessate a loro conoscendoli tramite i miei scatti e innamorandosi del loro sound. So per certo che il loro futuro artistico crescerà sempre di più. Non smetterò mai di spargere la parola: godetevi i fratelli!

ENG: Cassels are a powerfull young duo from London, consisting of two brothers: Jim and Loz Beck. I discovered them through The Brithdays website, which is a venue located in Dalston, London. It’s a special place for me because through it I have found a lot of great new bands, as being in The Birthdays schedule is always a mark of quality.
I was curious about Cassels and found a bunch of their singles on Soundcloud. From there I fell in love with their music: an explosion of raw sound! From the lyrics to the music it’s not something you’ll hear from many bands. The day of their gig it was rainy, as always in UK. After a little waiting we were lucky because the weather cheered up for the photo-shoot. They played an intense live set and I felt privileged to have been there, it was absolutely great.
I shot more photos on a second occasion at The Garage before the live presentation of their new double A side. I feel so proud that I have discovered an extremely interesting band. A lot of new people have discovered them through my photos and developed a crush on the band and their sound. I know their artistic future will only get better and better. I’ll never stop spreading the word: enjoy the brothers!
