AMERICAN NIGHTMARE (Cold Cave): a febbraio il loro nuovo album omonimo

Sono passati ben 14 anni da quando i Give Up The Ghost hanno dato alle stampe “We’re Down Till We’re Underground“. Ora la band capitanata da Wesley Eisold, titolare del progetto Cold Cave, ha deciso di tornare con un album nuovo di zecca firmato American Nightmare, nome originale del gruppo di Boston.

Il disco in questione, terzo sulla lunga distanza, sarà un self titled album, è stato registrato dal batterista Alex Garcia-Rivera, ed uscirà il 16 febbraio per Rise Records / Deathwish Inc. A questo indirizzo è già attivo il pre-order.

Eisold ha così commentato il ritorno del gruppo:

“In making this record we had one goal: To make a hardcore punk album that was true to American Nightmare, who we were then and who we are now. No filler, just existential poetic venom. This is ground zero, a new life for the band. Thematically this album is a response to the old lyrics, a reassurance of all of the uncertainties and existential fears. I still struggle daily with whatever lasting depression I unfortunately inhabit in my head; it’s deep-rooted and I needed to get this out in this form.”

“This is a new start, it really is. We are now in the band we always wanted American Nightmare to be with the lineup, the songs, and the name back. It feels full circle in the sound of the music referenced earlier, but it also feels complete in that we took the reigns of the band and its past and made a new American Nightmare album… and now we are ready to move forward with it.”
