DEAD CROSS (Mr. Bungle, The Locust, ex-Slayer): a ottobre il nuovo album “II”

Ci sono voluti ben 5 anni ma i Dead Cross, band allucinante composta da Mike Patton, Justin Pearson, Dave Lombardo e Michael Crain, sono finalmente pronti a tornare nella mischia con un nuovo disco.

“II” è il titolo del cosiddetto sophomore album del quartetto, prodotto nuovamente dal veterano del banco mix quando si parla di violenza acustica Ross Robinson (At The Drive-In, Sepultura, Korn, Glassjaw) e uscirà il 29 ottobre ovviamente per Ipecac Recordings.

Nel comunicato stampa si legge che il nuovo lavoro della band affonda le radici, oltre che nella politica e nell’amore per l’hardcore, anche nell’amicizia che lega i componenti della band, poiché a Crain è stato diagnosticato il cancro. È proprio il chitarrista a parlarne:

Words can’t even begin to describe how much this album means to me. It’s birthed of pain and uncertainty. The slow, excruciatingly painful, and nauseating recovery from cancer treatments were the catalyst for every riff and note on this album. However, my will to live and be with my brothers Justin, Dave, Mike, and co-producer Ross Robinson, got me out of bed and running into the studio every day to get it all on tape.
