NYX NÓTT (Arab Strap): a dicembre il nuovo album “Themes From”

Aidan Moffat non ha fatto in tempo a rimettere assieme gli Arab Strap che è subito pronto a tornare anche con il suo progetto solista denominato Nyx Nótt che mancava dalle scene da un paio d’anni.

La seconda fatica in studio del suo side project si intitola “Themes From” ed uscirà il 2 dicembre per Melodic ed è un album la cui idea è partita inizialmente dai temi televisivi. Ne parla così lo stesso Moffat:

The plan was to make twenty 90-second tracks designed as TV themes. But it wasn’t a satisfying listen, it was too gimmicky and silly. The focus then turned to making a proper album out of these modern library sounds, I decided to stick with the “Themes From” title and named the tracks after the sorts of shows they made me think of when I listened back. Each track has its own individual feel. The idea was to sound like a different composer and band throughout.
