KEVIN RUTMANIS (Cows, Melvins): a febbraio due nuovi album

Membro fondatore dei leggendari Cows e parte integrante di Tomahawk, Melvins e parecchi altri, Kevin Rutmanis è pronto a tornare in scena con ben due uscite previste entrambe per il 17 febbraio su Rock Is Hell Records.

Il primo è il nuovo album dei suoi hepa.Titus, band condivisa con Paul Christensen (Qui) e Sterling Riley (Orphan Goggles, Cunts) e si intitola “unEat“. Rutmanis ne parla così:

We sent the trax back and forth between bandmembers. I did a lot of editing at home and then sent the songs on to pSEUDO bEAST( known for his work with Dead Cross). A different way of working allowed two masterminds to focus on the arrangements and editing, It really opened up the possibilities!

Il secondo e ultimo, ma non importante, album si intitola “Crackpot Whorehead” e lo ha composto e registrato in combutta nientemeno che con Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Tomahawk), altro bassista di peso. L’ex-Melvins descrive così la collaborazione:

Trevor and I live on opposite coasts, but we didn’t let that stop us. Sorry world! One of us would record whatever popped into our little heads, and then send the tracks back and forth (usually only twice) until we were satisfied, or lost interest. As usual, Mow Skwoz did the cover art. Trevor did the collage on the back-cover.
