Uscirà il prossimo 23 settembre su Cooking Vinyl “Shine A Light – Field Recordings From The Great American Railroad”, nuovo album di Billy Bragg e Joe Henry.
Non è un mistero che Bragg, britannicissimo cantautore e attivista politico sia da sempre innamorato della musica americana, tanto da realizzare questo Shine A Light, un vero e proprio viaggio musicale, registrato percorrendo in 65 ore le 2728 miglia della storica linea ferroviaria americana Texas Eagle, reinterpretando grandi classici della tradizione folk e country a stelle e strisce, come Lead Belly, Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers e Glen Campbel.
