FLYING LOTUS: annunciato il nuovo album “Yasuke”
La colonna sonora del nuovo anime targato Netflix sarà disponibile in digitale dalla mezzanotte del 29 aprile
L’album che Flying Lotus si appresta a pubblicare intitolato “Yasuke” è anche la colonna sonora dell’omonimo anime uscito oggi su Netflix. Il disco verrà reso disponibile dalla mezzanotte tra il 29 e il 30 aprile mentre si dovrà attendere il 24 settembre per CD ed LP, pubblicati da Warp.
Ellison ha commentato così il lavoro:
You haven’t really heard an anime score do a “Blade Runner” thing, he says, “I was like, ‘let me try and get into the headspace of that’ but also there were several things that were part of the recipe for me. I thought about when Dilla would sample [Isao] Tomita and people like Vangelis, and how he had a [signature] sound when he did that sort of thing.
