THE TWILIGHT SINGERS: a ottobre il box set “Black Out The Windows/Ladies and Gentlemen, The Twilight Singers”
Il cofanetto conterrà l’intera discografia della band di Greg Dulli
Se non li ricordati i Twilight Singers sono un side project formato da Greg Dulli a fine anni ’90, a cavallo con gli anni di stop dei suoi Afghan Whigs. Oggi Dulli annuncia non il ritorno vero e proprio del gruppo (dicograficamente fermo da 12 anni circa) bensì l’uscita di un box set mastodontico intitolato “Black Out The Windows/Ladies and Gentlemen, The Twilight Singers” in uscita a ottobre per One Little Independent Records.
Il cofanetto, curato nella sua interezza da Dulli stesso, conterrà tutti gli album della band in vinile colorato e con artwork rivisitati oltre a un libro di 56 pagine che include le copertine degli album originali, saggi di Mark Lanegan, Duff McKagan, Steve Kilbey (The Church), Scott Ford (bassista dei Twilight Singers), David Katznelson (produttore), Marisa Buxman (fan di lunga data) e Keith Hagan (direttore). Nel libro, troviamo anche foto rare di Danny Clinch, Sam Holden, Andy Willsher, Chris Cuffaro e molti ancora.

C’era una libertà che ho trovato nel fare questa musica che mi ha riportato ai giorni della mia adolescenza. Libero da preconcetti o aspettative, potevo semplicemente volare in giro e creare mini band che stavano sotto l’ombrello di Twilight.
