I Madness hanno annunciato la pubblicazione del nuovo album “Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie“, il 13° lavoro in studio, il primo in sette anni, in uscita il 17 novembre tramite BMG. La band composta da Graham “Suggs” McPherson, Chris Foreman, Lee Thompson, Dan Woodgate e Mark Bedford ha autoprodotto il disco, che ospita l’attore Martin Freeman come narratore.
Il primo singolo estratto dal disco è C’est La Vie, che presenta il caratteristico suono della band, una miscela di ska e pop degli anni ’60. Suggs afferma che il brano parla “di questi tempi pazzi in cui viviamo e di come vorrei solo stare sulla mia barca e non far parte di tutto questo caos. Ma naturalmente, sono membro di un gruppo chiamato Madness. Forse avremmo dovuto chiamarci ‘Sanity’…”
