THE DAMNED: a gennaio il nuovo album di cover “Not Like Everybody Else”
Il disco è dedicato alla memoria di Brian James, chitarrista e fondatore della band scomparso all’inizio dell’anno.
I The Damned hanno annunciato l’uscita di “Not Like Everybody Else“, un nuovo album di cover in arrivo il 23 gennaio. Ad anticiparlo sarà il singolo d’apertura There’s a Ghost in My House di R. Dean Taylor, disponibile da giovedì.
Il disco è dedicato alla memoria del chitarrista e membro fondatore Brian James, autore di molti brani storici della band e scomparso all’inizio dell’anno all’età di 70 anni. La copertina dell’album è ricavata proprio da un’illustrazione realizzata da James.
Tra gli artisti reinterpretati compaiono The Kinks (I’m Not Like Everybody Else), The Rolling Stones (The Last Time), Pink Floyd (See Emily Play), The Creation (Making Time), The Animals (When I Was Young) e Iggy Pop and the Stooges (Gimme Danger).
Registrato in soli cinque giorni ai Revolver Studio di Los Angeles, l’album vede la formazione composta da Dave Vanian (voce), Captain Sensible (chitarra), Rat Scabies (batteria, al ritorno in studio dopo 40 anni), Paul Gray (basso) e Monty Oxymoron (tastiere).
