TALKING HEADS: a novembre la ristampa deluxe del loro album di debutto

I Talking Heads celebrano il loro iconico album di debutto del 1977, “Talking Heads: 77“, con una speciale Super Deluxe Edition in uscita il prossimo 8 novembre su Rhino. Questa nuova edizione include quattro LP, quattro singoli in vinile 7″ e un libro rilegato di 80 pagine, tutto contenuto in una lussuosa scatola con coperchio.

Il primo LP contiene la versione rimasterizzata dell’album originale, mentre il secondo disco offre rarità, demo e outtakes, 13 dei quali inediti. I dischi 3 e 4, invece, presentano una registrazione completa di un live set dei Talking Heads al leggendario CBGB di New York, datato 10 ottobre 1977, quando la band stava definendo il suo sound distintivo. Tra le rarità del secondo disco c’è anche una versione acustica di Psycho Killer con il celebre violoncellista Arthur Russell.

Il frontman David Byrne ha ricordato l’importanza di Russell, scomparso prematuramente a causa dell’AIDS, sottolineando il suo impatto sulla scena musicale underground e la sua vasta eredità artistica.
